That right, 8 Pro teams in town, plus Petco, Snap Dragon, and the new Front Wave Arena, not to mention our collegiate teams and venues. News Flash: San Diego IS a sports town. There were dark days forecast when that “other team” left town shamelessly in the middle of the night…but now the bright day for sports is here, right here, where it is a core element of the San Diego lifestyle. SDSI hosted an All Pro Sport meeting a few months back..the first in recent years that included the San Diego Pro Sports teams. The outcome of that meeting was a new Pro Sport Military Alliance, where members pitched in to focus on making our sports more available to the military community with a simple “2Click” web calendar that tells what games are being played on any day, and is also a quick access to a ticket at a great price. San Diego is a military town. Fully 1/3 of our population is active, retired or dependent family military. Making access easier and cheaper is our gift to those who serve. Play ball, or kick it, or catch it or hike, bike or walk, or surf or skate or ride..its San Diego!
