May Gray, June Gloom...all cliches apply, but there is no doubt that June 21 usually brings sunshine on our longest day and a real kickoff for the San Diego Lifestyle community. We saw it first hand at the mixer last week when a VERY large turn out of local companies all converged on our quarterly Happy Hour…nearly 100 entrepreneurs, small and large company execs, Mentors, all here to celebrate as a community. SDSI Welcomes New Member Sea Trees/ Sustainable Surf
SeaTrees is a program of the 501c3 non-profit of Sustainable Surf that plants, protects, and restores blue carbon coastal ecosystems around the world to reverse climate change. We develop coastal restoration projects, also known as blue carbon projects, across five water ecosystem types. SeaTrees funds this work through donations from brands and individuals who are committed to reversing climate change and creating sustainable livelihoods for local communities. To date this support has helped plant over 3 million sea trees and propelled us towards our goal of supporting 100 blue carbon projects by 2030.
