Its Always Start Up Week at SDSI (October Newsletter)
/Congrats to the City of Carlsbad and the North County EDC for presenting Startup Week in Carlsbad. It was an awesome event with well over 1000 attendees. We have noted in past times that the SDSI Accelerator was heavily populated when times look uncertain. The huge turnout at this event clearly demonstrates that entrepreneurism is alive and well in San Diego, and right here in our Accelerator, as well. We have now matriculated over 140 new companies, each of whom have enjoyed 80 to 100 hours of expert Mentoring. The results are amazing: 78% success rate, $91 Million in start up capital raised, 800 new jobs..35% of these Founders are women! This program is probably the best service offered to young companies or companies needing a pivot and senior advice.
